Angela Hunte is known for her work with JAY-Z, Snoop and Machel Montano. She brings her Brooklyn-by-way-of-Trinidad swagger to a set of sharp reggae rhythms from producers including DJ Buddha (Pitbull/Daddy Yankee/Sting), Jerry Wonda (The Fugees/Santana) and Dready (Busta Rhymes/Vybz Kartel).

• Angela wrote “Empire State of Mind,” the highest-charting track of JAY-Z ’s career (5 weeks at #1) and a winner of multiple awards at the 2011 Grammys

• Angela has written songs for Amy Winehouse, Snoop Dogg, Britney Spears, Lisa“Left” Eye” Lopes, Danity Kane, Machel Montano and Melanie Fiona

• She has appeared on songs in the following genres: hip-hop, R&B, pop, reggae, dancehall, soca, drum & bass, garage/two-step, dubstep

• Before launching her singing career, she was a stylist and casting director for iconic music videos by Bell Biv Devoe (“Poison,” “Do Me”), Boyz II Men (“Motownphilly,” “End of the Road”), and Jodeci (“Come and Talk To Me”)

• Angela was the lead singer of the Motown Records girl group 7669 in the ‘90s
